A COSTA RICAN KOSHER EXPERIENCE

Altura Tour offers many options for Kosher tours Costa Rica. We are specialized in this branch of tourism.  Inside the Synagogue you can find the Kosher restaurant “Taam Shel Paam” and very close there is a Kosher mini market. Below one of our proposals, but we prefer to decide with you the best trip. • Day 1 (Sunday) Welcome to Costa Rica! 

Upon arriving at Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, an Altura Tour’s representative will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. 

• Day 2 (Monday) San José / Tortuguero 

Departure from your hotel to Tortuguero National Park. Land transfer scheduled for the lodge of Tortuguero until Siquirre from where a boat transfer will continue for the canals of Tortuguero and attaining chosen lodge. This transfer is already a hike. Arrival and check-in. 

• Day 3 (Tuesday) Excursions for the canals of Tortuguero 

Guided Exploration of Green Forest of Tortuguero to observe the biodiversity of the tropical rainy forest. Information about the National Park. Return to base for lunch and in the afternoon go on guided hikes in the fluvial ecosystem discovering animals that live in the National Park. The guide will illustrate in detail the habitat of several species of birds, monkeys, frogs, sloths, as well as a wide range of floral forest.

• Day 4 (Wednesday)-Tortuguero canals and transfer to Arenal Volcano

Morning tour and return to the lodge for breakfast. Departure by boat on the way back and around midday arrival in Sarapiquí for the connection with transfer to Arenal Volcano, where it is scheduled to arrive in the afternoon. In the evening from your hotel you can observe the Volcano lava. Free evening to decide together a walk at pueblo La Fortuna where you can visit local craft shops. 

• Day 5 (Thursday)-Guided tour to the Volcano 

Our guides will come to your hotel for your transfer to Arenal Volcano hike. Afterwards, will bring you to the thermal waters and spa to immerse themselves in a tropical environment in the middle of the Spa from the volcano. Following is scheduled dinner and transfer back to the hotel. 

• Day 6 (Friday)-Return to San Jose for Shabbat

Upon arrival you will check-in to the hotel and receive a briefing about the city tour. The hotel is walking distance from the synagogue.  

• Day 7 (Saturday) Shabbat 

We can program this day together depending of your preferences.  

• Day 8 (Sunday) Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or any other destination
